Journal Links
Contained below are links to pages that I visit in some capacity. I’ll try to add additional info as I go along.
I’ll share with you what I told Leif, owner/partner/guru of this site last year (2006) at Trail Days.. I’ve spend A LOT of time on this page, so much so that the place that I worked at completely shutdown access to that site. You know you’re making a difference when admins place firewall restrictions on a hiking website!
Of course my TrailJournal site can be found here.
Ben and Lauren’s Adventure 2007
I just ran across these guys from another link (below) and look forward to following them. They just started (when I should be), so I will hopefully be able to run into them at some point.
As The Crow Flies - The Journeys of Crow
I was doing some searching for some info when I fell upon this site, what a resource. What I am starting to learn is that there is a ton of information that noone knows about, this is such an example.
Appalachian Trail Google Maps (and GPS data)
Ran across this site that Tom Dunigan, Adjunct Associate Professor UTK Computer Science at the Univeristy of Tennessee and retired research scientist created. Contained within this site is all the information you’d ever need for that fancy GPS unit. I think the coolest link is where all the AT shelters have been mapped. Take a few minutes and pop over and check it out for yourself.
